Can Rock Chips Be Completely Removed from My Windshield?

A small rock hitting the windshield of your car can either cause your windshield to chip or crack. If you experience a small chip in your windshield, it’s crucial to get the chip fixed sooner rather than later in order to avoid having to replace your entire windshield.

Our Procedure

When you bring your vehicle in to have the damaged windshield inspected, we will be looking to make sure that there are no more than three chips that all run less than six inches. If your chips fall within these numbers, we will be able to repair the individual chips. If you have any chips that are in the line of sight, on the edges of your windshield, or in front of a camera/sensor, you will most likely have to have your windshield fully replaced.

Repair Process

Once we have determined that your windshield can in fact be repaired, we will make sure there is no dirt, water, or debris sitting in the chip that would cause issues with the repair process. Once completed, we will seal the chip with a resin material before drying it with UV light to ensure it dries clear and blends into the windshield. Once the resin is dry, our team will be polished to look brand new.
